PEOPLE

The Annual Symposium is all about you…the business owners, sales professionals, account managers, recruiters…who match thousands of PEOPLE to thousands of jobs every day.  It’s a time for industry professionals to meet each other in a setting that encourages interaction and celebration.

Come!  Connect with industry peers.  Connect with the PEOPLE who share your passion and purpose.

PURPOSE: (Toby Malara)

You are an expert at your job – running your business, matching job skills to candidates, keeping clients happy.  You know the things that help and the things that get in your way.  Regulations, paperwork, changing reporting requirements, compliance checks – they can all seem tedious, daunting and difficult to navigate.  Like an “insiders only” club.

In an interactive “game show” format, ASA government affairs council Toby Malara will help you navigate through the issues and decisions that have been and will be made that impact you, your clients’ and your candidates; ability to succeed.

PASSION: (Mark Lindquist)

Many of us feel “stuck” from time to time as we progress through our working lives.  So as working professionals, we could all use a little jolt from time to time.  This session may be the only time all year when you take a moment to reflect on the things you need to do to reignite the passion that brought you into the workforce in the first place.  World-touring entertainer and author Mark J. Lindquist offers a keynote that is as entertaining as it is enlightening as he sends you out the door on fire.

SPEAKERS

TOBY MALARA, GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COUNCIL AMERICAN STAFFING ASSOCIATION

Toby Malara advises on all staffing-related legislation and regulation, including the Affordable Care Act, immigration/I-9, paid sick leave, sales tax and per diem issues. He also directs the association’s political activities through its political action committee, StaffingPAC.

MARK J. LINDQUIST, SPEAKER, ENTERTAINER AND AUTHOR OF Passion!  8 Steps to Reignite Yours

Whether it is your first week on the job or you are a CEO of the organization, you’ll leave this session with a new vision for the future that will propel you out of the rut and into an exciting journey toward a passion-filled life in all areas, at work and at home.

You’ll gain an awareness of the mental roadblocks that stand in the way of progress; this progress can be in your personal lives, the workplace, or in the pursuit of your passions.

You’ll gain an understanding of the importance of a workplace culture that is dedicated to the development of an individual’s strengths.  The quickest way to reignite a person’s passion for what they do is to develop a culture that honors the strengths of the individual and allows them to make major contributions to the organization within their strength zone.

Members of your team will leave with an expanded vision for their future within your organization.
